Eligibility Criteria For RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024
For Undergraduate:
- Educational Qualification: 12th (+2Stage) or its equivalent with not less than 50% marks in the aggregate. 50% marks is not to be insisted upon in case of SC/ST/Persons with Benchmark Disability/Ex-servicemen and candidates Who possess qualifications higher than 12th (+2stage).
For Typist post Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age as of 1st January 2025.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.
For Graduate:
- Educational Qualification: Degree from recognised University or its equivalent.
For Typist post Typing proficiency in English / Hindi on Computer is essential.
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 36 years of age as of 1st January 2025.
- Age Relaxation: Upper age relaxation will be 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates.

Out of this fee of Rs 500 an amount of Rs 400 shall be refunded and for PwBD / Female /Transgender/ Ex-Servicemen candidates and candidates belonging to SC/ST/Minority Communities/Economically Backward Class Rs.250 shall be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st Stage CBT of RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024.
Mode of Payment: Candidates can pay their examination fee of RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024 through online mode using Internet Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI.

How To Apply for RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024
- Candidates can apply for the notified posts of any one RRB only as per their eligibility through ONLINE application mode by visiting the official website of RRBs.
- Read all the Information and Instructions detailed in this notification thoroughly before starting to fill up the application.
- Scanned documents in JPEG Format to be kept ready before filling the application.
- Check RRB wise Vacancies for the qualification and Reservation Category of the candidate.
- Once the RRB has been selected, preliminary registration is completed and registration number is allotted, change of RRB will not be permitted under any circumstances.
- Click on the Apply: (Create an Account / and already have an Account). During the ONLINE APPLICATION, candidates will be asked to ‘Create Account”.
- Registration Details: Enter your name, Date of Birth and Father‘s name as per Para D 1.7 of General Instructions, Mother‘s Name, Aadhaar Number, SSLC/Matric Roll Number, Year of Passing, Mobile Number and email-ID and then submit for registration.
- Verification of email ID and mobile number through OTP: On submitting the primary details, OTPs shall be sent to the registered mobile number and email. The candidate should retrieve the OTPs from email and Mobile and then enter OTPs to proceed with the filling up of application and to make payment through OTP “Activation Link”.
- Candidates can proceed with the online application by clicking on the “Candidate Login” button on the Home Page using the Registration Number and password.
- On completion of application details as above, the candidate will be directed to the payment page to choose payment mode i.e. Bank (Online Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card/UPI)
- Upload Photograph and Signature.
- After submission of Application candidate may save the file as ‘PDF’ and/or take print of the application and preserve it for reference and record
Selection Procedure
The RRB NTPC Recruitment 2024 shall be two stage Computer Based Test (CBTs) followed by “Computer based Aptitude Test (CBAT)/ Typing Skill Test (TST) wherever applicable.
- Computer based Aptitude Test for Station Master and
- Typing Skill Test for Senior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist.
- For Goods Train Manager, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Supervisor, there shall be two stage CBTs followed by document verification and medical examination.
